What everyone think of FS racing?

fs are great cars, i ran across a couple while i was in colorado springs back in '97/'00. the quality of them are way above that of the hpi bajas (of course i would have to assume so are the rovan and KM bajas with the low quality of my hpi :D)
 
ah where do I start.....

I think very little of them. thats about as nice as I can get. my best mate has one, bashes light compared to most of us and he has bent his chassis 5 times, broken 6 swing arms (mainly the front), had the bearings in the diff housing let go 7 times and gone through 3 diffs where the pins inside snap. he hasnt done over 10 tanks either.

i couldnt think of a worse large scale on the market!

like i said they are bettr quality than my hpi baja :D. anyway back in 97 to 2000 the ones i saw were practically bomb proof but you know how it is, companies went cheapo to make higher profits and quality suffers :(
 
I know for fact they don't hold up better then baja.. Im really surprized to hear that form someone.. Ive seen them hit a 2 foot jump land and the whole front end folded.. Lord you crazy lol ..
 
I can say mine went 7 gallons an only broke the skirt.an yes about a 26cc
It also would spin a easy 18,000 rpm
but my 28.5 cy is awesome in a 4x4

the chassis is deffinitly soft alumn.lol looks like the cen is about the same.

well you don't own my baja do you bud ;) my baja is plauged wth failures and i haven't got much running at all out of it (about 4 tanks total after break in) and from what i have seen of fs (albeit back in 99 to 00) the fs are better than the baja ):D
 
my mates motor has been pretty reliable, not a power house but reliable, starts everytime, holds a steady idle and res cleanly. don't know how they get away with saying its a 30cc when clearly it isnt but the major issue is the butter built chassis and crap swing arms and ofcouse the diffs are rubbish.
 
I guess it's all in the maintance . for a over priced toy.For old technoligy it still works.
heck even the baja is getting old,but they just keep modding what they have.

I would love too try a FG baja 4wd myself.but mcd v4 looks to be on top right now imo.an will be my next new rig
