What have you done to your KM Baja lately?

Got mine all torn down, cleaned and replaced a broken front shock tower, all back together besides the rear tires. Blew out one of the knobbys so gona use my khaos tires but the foams are soaked, so letting them dry out. So right now need a set of rear tires and sand tires for baja bash at silver lake next month.

I got a new zenoah for mine, as long as I have it torn apart I am going to replace everything I can with hpi, I have most of the parts already I was going to use as spares.

Johan-

You make me ashamed of the few little things I have done to mine!! That is a rather impressive list. My usual pattern is to order a bunch of stuff over the winter and work on it then because the weather is bad. Right now I"m just enjoying owning a KM baja!

Well, I had a plan initially that I would keep it as close to stock as possible but once the upgrade bug bit me... The result is in the list I posted :D

I should've known since this has happens with all of the RC's I've ever had. I need to join RC shoppers anonymous ;)

Had my KM 2.0 EX aluminum buggy about 3 months , after 2 months and about 10 tanks the motor quit no compression it was shot. I did'nt play around I replaced it with Gizmotors badass 30.5 cc fully race ported stroked engine ( thanks Tim ) and never looked back. Warning you will go thru tires a lot faster :D

Go fast-

That is one slick looking KM. You guys have some great looking KM on here. Hopefully one day mine will be there.

Today I installed the Outerwears pullstart prefilter and shock covers. I have a rather healthy wishlist on DDM and I'm working on getting everything on it!!

I payed 330 bucks for the king motor 001 roller,,, once im done,, probably wont be much of the king motor original parts left,, still running stock diff with the flm cups and km hardened gears, once they are toast, upgrade,,, still have stock front and rear bulkheads,, km bolts,, steering arms,, and front top plate,,, bought a turtle racing front one for a 5b, and than I converted to a truck, so still in package unopened , still have stock rear motor plate,,,, probably have 2 grand in it before im done

@roadrashracing

I've been eyeballing that motor since the first tests were released but my original motor is running fine so far. Might I be so bold to ask for a comparison between the original 30,5 and the Zen?

I have run with roadrachracing with my zen g290 and so has my brother who also has the zen and it seams to have a little more top end and roughly the same power. Cant say for sure has I run a dom v2, my brother has the dom fast and road has a thor pipe.

I'ts not a zen it's RCMK . First thing I noticed was during break in and only running up to half throttle , it was just about as fast as the stock motor at full throttle. Second , the low end torque & speed is incredible now the buggy spins the tires off the line I mean really lights them off , doughnuts for days & unbelievable fun. I've had to adjust my driving skills if I punch it and im not perfectly straight it's going sideways , I have to ease into the throttle . Tim from Gizmotors actually recommended a 19/55 spur gear set to calm it down a little in the bottom end and on the upside give it more top end. I got the gears but have'nt put them in yet cause I want to do a top speed comparison between the two motors . On a side note I have slicks now :D

20/54 gears sound intresting also , thanks for the info this is all still a learning curve for me.

Yea, my brother ran that gearing on his zen and hit 63mph, for normal bashing he rums 19/55. You got 4 more ponies, so the higher gearing should be super easy on ur motor. I see you still running the thor pipe too, throw on a nice jetpro or bartalone and that motor should really rip.

Thanks , a lot of people seem to like the DDM 2 Dominator pipe , I wonder how it would compare to the thor pipe.
