i have not seen any manual or standard settings,
those 2 speeds are set by preference, your gonna need to run it and keep adjusting the screws to the best setting that give you the speeds and shifting you want, gonna take some time, find a open lot so you can open the throttle up and get the baja up to speeds, thats why the outer gear has the slots cut into it so you can adjust as needed without dis-assembly.

thats right, theres no instruction on turns in or out, i would set it loosely, bolts making snug contact, and make a run, if kickin in too early then tighten bolts in a lil, make sure you do it equally on both bolts, till its hittin where ya want, it'll take ya a lil time, i did it once, so i know it can be done

1 1/4 turns out on both bolts is a little quick on the shift, gonna go 1/4 tighter but don't wanna endanger the owb. The more torque when it hits second the more pressure on the owb.

got mine set i think pretty good, might back it off for a slight quicker kick in, but it sounds good when it hits, BUT, it does yank the front up when it hits. thats why im thinkin of easin it back just a lil. but i still need some fine tuning on the carb HS . got it running pretty good, but needs a lil fine tuning yet, after all that upgrade of Vstack and such i installed.

Shifting

I just my speed 30.5cc KM and I have ran about 6 tanks threw it and I found it stange that I could not hear shift like my nitro with 2-speed but the thing is so powerful out of the hole and insane fast of the top end I figured it had to be shifting. It out performs my FG 29cc at both ends. It has a very loud pipe on it. Should i be able to ear the pipe change like my nitros?

I hear mine more pronounced on pavement than I do on grass and dirt. Glad you're enjoying it!

Maybe mine isn't shifting. I run on dirt. It lifts left front wheel from torque. Seems way faster than my 29cc FG MT. Even on Beach at Pismo wet sand extremly fast but nerer heard tone change on pipe as I was running. Will have to test some more but i can't imagine it being any faster? Thanks for info.

run it on hard surface, and listen, you know for sure when it shifts, possible you might have to loosen it up a touch, might be shiftin too late or not at all. remember to loosen the 2 bolts evenly/the same.

quick and easy way to tune a two speed is to lift the back wheels and throttle it, repeat this to you get the desired rpm range for 2nd gear
