What else can go wrong never again a DZY (AKA Shengqi) Baja.

1. Car did not want to free wheel and drivetrain did not feel right. Thought it just had to worn out. Nope turn out the spacer at the back of the spur gear was to small which led to the spur gear rubbing against the backing plate and gear bearing. One standard spur gear broken. Drove about 2 min. Put in a extra spacer. HPI and Rovan kept on driving for more than an hour.

2. Car doesn't want to turn like the HPI and Rovans. Turns out that if you loosen the servo saver it improves the turning ability.

3. Opened the gearbox and noticed the Diff bolts are loose no oil in the diff and no plugs on the diff casing. Tried using grease rather than oil and thightened the diff bolts. drove about 10 min. Diff broke, gears bearings everything. Gearbox plastic casing included. Put in a new diff with gearbox. Checked everything. Drove quite a while the next day.

4. Engine casing broke at the Fly wheel end and rubbed against the fly wheel. tried to fix it firstly with Pratley Patty and then with Q-Bond none worked broke after 2 min. Took it to try and weld it no luck. Got a 23 cc engine which were in a HPI from my brother in law. He upgraded to a 30 cc. Last night put it in. Had to change the placement of the Magneto from the fly wheel cover to the Engine it self. Had to do some cutting and decided it was safer to cut the cover. Black cover that comes over the plug did not fit on the new motor and rubbed against the Flywheel. Did some cutting on the cover. Third or forth pull the pull starter rope broke. Opened the pull starter and fixed the rope. Got the car to start and baaaaaaam something broke. Pull starter bolt came out and went into the fly wheel seems that it did not disengaged after starting. Luckly nothing to serious broke but some parts are now broken. Need a new pull starter.

The cover on the engine were quit soft and I could break it in small pieces with my hands.:(

For the time I have this car I spend not less than 20 to 30 hours working on it and about 1 hour driving it.

Patience, O patience this car will not defeat me.

Ive been working so much on everybodies cars due to not being able to drive myself that I am now know as the Mechanic or the Pitcrew.
