Hey gang! What oil do you use/recommend for your 5ive-Ts? I’m planning on using 93 octane gas.

Depending on how expensive canned fuel is you can actually make your own non ethanol fuel (well actually remove the ethanol from the fuel) ....seeing the videos on You Tube it does not look too hard but I have not done it personally since WaWa where I live sells non ethanol fuel right from the pump...I myself am probably more concerned about using non Ethanol fuel than I am about what brand oil.
RC stuff at 25:1 no matter what brand oil to me would not be a concern.
Not saying I would run walmart oil but any of the major brands at that ratio wouldn't concern me.
In this state we don't have non-E off the tap, so I am forced to run canned fuel.
For got to add that since i reside in Commifornia the first two mostly get homemade Ethanal free fuel and Maxima Hi-Test Octane Booster. Those eat fuel so making it is no big deal in 5 gln batches and Kinda fun actually. If it is a big desert trip or ride and i know i'll use all my gas i just use pump fuel.Yamaha Banshee - Amsoil Dominator 32:1
KTM 300 XCW- Motorex Cross Power Full Synthetic 2T 2-Stroke Oil or Maxima Castor 927 2-Stroke Oil. It was injected so ratio was IDGAF.
Any of my Gas RC's will get any of the three at what 25:1
Ethanol is a big part of the stream that makes up the octane rating, making "ethanol free" gas from adding water strips the fuel of a lot of its octane and other water soluble additives. You're not doing yourself any favors by doing it and risk engine damage. Also you're nimot removing any water that is in an emulsion, and very likely adding to the issue. Anecdotally, we've seen the aftermath of doing such things at my uncles shop. Boat engines ran to death from back yard bob adding water to pump gas to remove the ethanol and not recognizing his engine is pinging. Pistons look like they were being beaten by a hammer. Just stupid when the alternative is easy, rediky available and takes little time to do in most cases. Prep engines for storage and move on with life.I run the blue gallon jugs of TW3 (I think) 2 stroke oil from Walmart with non ethanol gasoline .... If I go delux I'll get the Yellow gallon jug from Walmart (I can't remember the brand on that tho) .... I've been using the same blue jug on all my chainsaws, weed eaters , blowers .....

Oil debates are eternal and hotly debated everywhere. This is peanuts, even compaired to other debates of the same topic in this forum.I started with the maxima 927 oil during the first 4 tanks @50:1 to allow the parts to break in. I switched to Amsoil saber 50:1 after that.
I just use 91 octane from an ethanol free pump. I do me, everyone else does them.
The oil and gas conversations can get real heated around here.
This isn't even a debate. Lol. Op asked a question and people are responding with the information he inquired about. The end.You want a good oil debate? Go to a chainsaw forum and tell them that you use olive oil @ 100:1 LOL
This here is nothing!
