My factory steering servo is showing signs of dying... what are my options for replacement? I hear that the factory mount limits what replacement servos fit. is that true, and if so, what has to be done to fit replacement option servos? Might as well replace factory throttle servo at same time.

Thanks in advance for your response. Great forum!

throttle servo is just a standard size servo, any will bolt right in place of it.

The steering servo is a little more complicated. If you want to replace it with a 1/4 scale servo like comes stock on the HPI, or Hitecs version.. you have to buy the HPI servo mount. Since the KM servo is rounded, whereas all the others are not.

Most guys are buying the adapters to run a rhino servo.

You will find everything you need for doing either option at DDM

well really for throttle most are using, including myself, a 7955 servo,

hitec, and fro steering a 5805 which is ok, but alot of guys, including myself, go with a hitec 5755, rhinos are replaced here in the USA with 5755's hitec's

now with a 5755,

you will need the servo mount adaptor, thats NOT in your KM T1000 but can be bought off ebay. but a better alloy one can be got from DDM. and better yet, the thing i ordered for mine, a PA bracket.

it replaces the stock servo mount for the steering servo with a alloy one.

plus in case i needed it, i also got the alloy meaty mount, thats the same as the old plastic servo mount adaptor.
