Hey guys, I was having a great time and then I lost a steering servo...

so far I have found 2 options,

the Futaba S5050 ...$90 X 2 for $180---OUCH 211in/oz

Hitec 5745 .............$70 X 2 for $140 --- better 208in/oz

BlueBird BMS-L560DMG $40 X 2 for $80.. but 1 month to get here from china :-| 289in/oz

or the SM-s8166m ...$30 X 2 fpr $60---Yeah but are they any good? 417in/oz

steinths are at 4.8v

is the best bet the SM-s8166m it is almost 2X the power?

are there any other options?... there has to be more than 4 companies that make these.....

Thanks guys....I just wish there was a hardware store fix for this....

I use HiTech 5755's...Very strong servos....think they're 343in/oz @ 6v

The is a search function @ top of forum...Lots of info on servo's that fit the Rampage

I don't think your gonna fit those SM-s8166m's

I did search man, I found 11 pages of nothing..... that is why I asked. I am going with the futaba S3306...

i would go with the hitech 805bb torque is 343 at 6v you will need to mod the servo mount for it to fit stay with hitech the futaba servos don't last to long:cool:

Sorry, I just seemed to remember so many threads and I thought you might not have seen them...anyway..

If your not adept at modding the 805 requires some of the servo tray...The 5755's requires only 2 holes drilled...

5755's are much stronger than 5745's and they are about the same price...

I think the 45's are discontinued...

Thanks for the input guys, I read a lot on here and on **************.com,

I really wanted to go with the 805 2bb's, but I was talked into the S3306's, it seems they last a bit, and they have quicker response

Like I said, I did search, and I found some cool threads... but not much help on the servos..haha.

On a plus not, I installed the 28.5cc head kit today....HOLY COW at the power difference!

well got the servo's installed today(s3306)... The arms that came with them are crap...will have to find something else...(I have not looked but if you know were some alum arms are....) and they were not a direct fit, had to drill some holes, and cut some tads off, but I got them installed.

They are defiantly faster and stronger than the stock ones, and they do not make that humming noise.

Got to do a real run on the truck with the new head, and cold air intake installed, ran like a cat on fire....HAHA...the roll pins I used in place of the drive pins are holding up great, with all the power the 28.5cc head kit added I thought they would have broke..but they held strong, we will see Saturday when I really put them to the test if they are a viable option

Thats good to hear you got her running man, we definitely wanna see some vid of it in action :)
