I am really confused. But then that is the rule rather than the exception with me. Building this MT from the ground up has been an educational and at times a frustrating experience. I have found that every vendor will work with you and supply you with a great deal of help. Kudos to DDM for being close to home and easy to get to on the phone. The folks here on this site are very quick to respond to asks with a great deal of patience. RCDAD should be a "sticky" here. He has tremendous information of these trucks and willingly shares. Fearless helped a new guy with a great deal on spare parts and wheels. And I still discuss things with him.
Confusion.
There are parts that have identical part numbers. Even on the stickers. Parts might be 050050 or 50050. Two completely different and sometimes pricey parts. The parts lists are getting the job done but some parts are not labeled or mislabeled. But those are work around. The objective is running the truck not building the truck.
Example, Dual Servo Saver Unit. Looking closely at the unit you can see that there are areas at the top and bottom where bushings need to be installed. These will fit over the buffer posts and provide support to the unit. They are a unique size. Some units are sold with the bushings included but most are not. I have been trying for the last two weeks to get a set of these off somebody, anybody. So I am off to the Home Depot to find something that will kinda, sorta fit. I just find it odd that just a couple of things don't fit.
Overall I am really looking forward to getting the truck outside and getting it dirty!
