a lot of reseach, time and reseach. i started 2 mos ago and still is finding something new every day but i am hot on the mcd baja 1000 so far.

It's all going to depend on what you want to do with it? you may be looking for a truck and end up with a buggy.
Give us an idea of a typical day you forsee yourself using it.

Research then couse. it is the best way.

I don't see how a 10ft jump can be considered stupid....

There's more things to take into account, proper take off and landing angles, speed and others. I've launched my MT pretty damn high a few times and land no problem. Other times when you launch off balance and can't pull it back before the landing things will break. But they have designed weak points and if you can take advantage of those you are breaking fairly inexpensive parts.

and think used cause yer gonna make mistakes so u might as well bash a used and save yer money for your new baby and figure out what you like. i love the fg and mcds, and i just bought a used fg racing rig that is better than new for 500 bucks and its just frigin neat as hell... sometimes i go out to the garage and just look at it...

so 4x4. next ? is how much you want to spend?

Yup?

IMHO, a 4x4 truck is not something you will want to "bash" but "bash" brings different meanings for each of us.
Money is going to be the big thing. How much you have to spend will eliminate the trucks and you have only a few 4x4's to pick from. Your choice will be easy once the amount you want to spend is posted.

For bashing there's nothing that really compares to the HPI Baja, mind you its only 2 wheel drive.

I have an MCD MT clone which is 4x4 and seems to handle bashing fairly well. I keep blowing crap apart on it every once and a while however but with the majority of the parts being interchangeable with MCD stuff I just replace with that and its stronger than ever.

i don't got to be 4x4. i realy just want something that will be able to handel a lil mudd. sence i do live on a farm moste of the use will be in the feilds and stuff.

I think the best thing is try to locate some local bashers. And chat with them if you behave thy may let you have a go with there cares.
