What was your first rc car back in the day? Grasshopper? Hotshot? Rough Rider?

I remember back in the 80s my dad bought a brand new Rough Rider and it came in a box and we had to put the entire car together.
My dad ended up handing over the rough rider to me and I remember trading the rough rider for a Honda Spree moped that I used to get back and forth to school on. Prob 1988 or so. Ha LOL

Before that back in the 70's my dad had a Porshce 911 Gas powered car which I still have to this day.

For my first hotrod rc car was the grass hopper.
A friend of mine had a Hotshot.

Now I have a few of my old RC 10 cars laying around and a older Rustler, I actually still have the original box for one of my RC10's.

Such good fun.

The Tamiya Chevy S-10 was my first hobby grade RC.

My first was a tamyia laborgini Countach CS. Then a wild willy, after that was a frog followed by a Hornet. Then about a 12 year break and I got an HPI nitro rs4 mt in 2000.

My first proper RC car was a Tamiya Monster Beetle, which I still have to this day. Had a few cheaper starter cars beforehand when I was younger, but come 1986 a Tamiya box arrived with the iconic looking red VW monster inside - absolutely love it!

Speed controllers were a PITA!

Oh man. My first real hobby grade RC was the RC10GT tub chassis. I still have the original OS MAX .12 engine that I got for it. I ended up having 3 of them. One black tub, one blue tub, and one blue flat chassis.
