What would you do?

I have a rampage tt. It has the 30.5 kit, upgrade kit and ddm pipe and steel gears installed. I have the aluminum diff housing, baja fb wheels and 5b wheel extensions, dual servo kit in a box waiting to be installed. I also ordered the aluminum front knuckles but they are on backorder so it is just sitting there waiting on those knuckles. I bought it from an LHS that has treated me very well. That hobby shop is willing to take it back in on a trade, we haven't decided on a value yet. They have a really nice FG MT5 there that I want real bad. It has Samba pipe, magura hydraulic brakes, 2 speed and in very good shape. I am getting some really nice aluminum beadlocks with it and new bigfoot tires. The rims retail at $460 and the tires retail at 89.99 for 2. They want $1050 for the FG. Since there is a lot of snow here the 4x4 is nice. The parts are more readily available for the FG. I don't mind waiting 4-5 days for parts but when parts are always on backorder that is kind of a problem. What would you do? How much would you ask for the tt if you were going to trade it in? I have had it for 3 weeks now.

The TT sounds pretty nice. What kind of engine does the FG have?

well, i bought the fg also i am not totally sure of the motor it has an upgraded carb the 813 i believe choke less. makes me think there is work done to the motor also. i am trying to find out

I think that both are pretty sweet trucks. However, when it comes down to it, if parts are always on back order then i can understand your frustration. It is always hard to plan ahead for what you are going to need. I would go with the FG. It is more expensive, but if the parts are readily available, then you have a winner.

So it is a stock carb, the choke lever was hidden behind the Samba. I bought the FG so now I own both. The FG is horrible in the snow but the 4x4 kit is on the way for it. lots of work to do on it just to see if I am going to like it, rear hydraulic brakes, big bore kit and do something with the stock shocks.
