So I was running the XT today and got me thinking! What's better in cold weather? Plastic suspension parts or aluminum parts? I know plastic may get brittle in the cold...but I also realize that if I replace with aluminum parts I gotta replace everything in aluminum!

I haven't tried it on a 1/5th scale yet, but on all my other RC's I found that in winter aluminum lower front control arms and steering knuckles are a must. I also used aluminum bulkheads, but these units already have braces that do the trick. Possibly body posts if you crash alot, but it would be user preference.

I've had a couple good wrecks in the winter with my XT...The body shatters real well!!

The stock plastic parts seemed to hold up well for my crashes. Having said that - I have not tried aluminum parts in the winter.
