hi everybody im new to this forum and i have dicided to buy a kingsmotor baja for my birthday. because the engine is only 23cc im going to port it with this http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product1901.html. also you can't have a nice engine with out a nice shiny new pipe. my original idea was to get the tgn race pipe but everyone else on my forum say they are rubbish and ugly, then i said what about the gbe pipe and they said that the ddm side is better. so now im asking you guys which one is better between the GBE END BLEED PIPE or the DDM SIDE MOUNT

thanks

miles

p.s sorry about writing along story:blush:

its a toss up and a performance ? really

i think the Side Dom maybe has a bit more linear power that the GBE EB, but the GBE probably makes more power thru the rpm range. the SD maybe has a Smidget better top rpm to it while the GBE is a bit better (more power giveing ) down low and in the mid. has a bit of a "BIGGER" spool up to it.

both are really nice pipes, pretty well protected (except for a direct tbone) and both are well liked.

personally i think the TGN Is an excellent pipe. and to date the TGN Race pipe is the recommended pipe from Reed Case maker Trevor Simpson, so it cant be all bad.

i have the Rear Dom and the TGN. very different performing pipes, but both have their place/use.

so i guess some of it depends on where you run and how you want the motor to preform.

fwiw, the Side dom is quieter than the GBE pipe, if noise is an issue, which it is for some.

I can give you the same answer I did on the other forum site:clown::clown:

...but it looks like you REALLY want the GBE:)

Thank you for the detailed analyses.
Will looks like each is good, it depends on how you want the engine to perform.

thats exactly it Shiney. most all the pipes are decent pipes. some run better on different motors than others do. its more about matching the pipes performance to your motors ability, and finding a common ground between the two, that makes the whole setup run/preform as you want it to.

I say between the two sides pick the one you think looks the best and you will never know the difference except that you see a huge difference from what you have.

On the TGN it really looks to be a performance pipe and because of that it is more prone to damage. If you can except not being able to do some light bashing then it will work but I would hate for you to take it to a gravel pit and crap it out.

here is a video of LARC running my Baja with a ESP Zen 27.2 with a side mounted Dom.
watch and listen to the video than make up your own mind as to which one to get.

Great video Dirby. Played it for my 9 month old and 3 year old during lunch. Wife rolled her eyes. No doubt she was thinking more Bajas some day! :clown:
