Whats the differences between v1 and v3?

hi, i BELIEVE i have version one of the MT. I saw an aluminum diff housing box on a site but it said only works with version 3. I noticed the part that goes into the chassy is different, so is it just the version 3 chassy i need to get if i want the diff housing box to work with my rampage? thanks!

if you have purchased v3 diff cases you can use them on the v1 chassis but you will need to cut the plastic pins off of bottom side of diff case if you don't wish to do so then you will need to get v3 chassis only.

but the v3 chassy will work with everything else from the v1?

you don't have to cut the pins all the way off, you just have to trim them a bit and it fits right on.
