First was the Dragonhammer and now Kraken just unveiled their new VEKTRA.5..... I'm wondering if these will become the ultimate basher trucks or if guys will start racing them. From what I've read and been told the solid axle is mean't for climbing and won't handle like a independent suspension so it'll be interesting to see if guys start racing them and whether or not they will be able to compete w/ the 5ives...... The Kraken is really bad ass!

I think it is great.
I think it will be the best of both worlds.
I can see many bashers enjoying these, and I can definitely see racers adapting the to tracks.
I am most excited about the Kraken, and can not wait to see one in person.
The FID is cool, but the reliability is questionable VS the Kraken RC extremely HD design.
Time will tell on both.

I'm willing to bet you will see more rock racing than anything else.. The thing is cool but the handling just isn't there for most common tracks you see or race on.

I'm with ya looker, can't wait to see one but I have some pretty horrible lhs by me that seem to want nothing to do with the large scale scene. So I'm probably gonna have to buy one to see it in person lol. Which is crazy to me, being on LI with all this money around you'd think just by the shear amount of people that we'd have a decent following in the hobby, but no. Maybe it comes down to the price of rent. The lot we meet at on Sunday's here I was told the owner of company pays 700k a month in rent!.....

Bert I was thinking the same. Maybe some hill climbing courses will start popping up. There does seem to be a lot of guys messing around with these electric rock crawlers.
