I have play on 1 back wheel & also the opposite front wheel & my first thought was the wheel bearings. Is this the likelihood or can this play occur if the wheel square is not tight up to the hub?

The wheel square should be like 1mm to the bearing..very little play...
bearing could be bad..but you would have to take it out and feel for any roughness...
just my opinion..slawhammer

Oh forgot..for your wheel bearings for the Fg ..use skateboard bearings...there like
1 dollar USD each..you need 8 for the whole truck....You can repack the bearings...
But if any roughness ..(not smooth feel) chuck the old bearing & replace it.....
....Slawhammer

Cheers guys but I think I will order them off fleabay - I need to start building up some spares!!

I looked at Rossendale Models cos I need a couple of other bits & they are selling the FG bearings at £4.70 for a pack of 2 - at least peepee Turpin wore a mask:clown:

They are only 5 miles from my house so I have to factor in delivery costs from other suppliers to have a proper comparison so for me they can be ok. Plus Im cheeky & always ask for their best price so don't always pay sticker price!! If you don't ask you don't get!! They can have some good deals on their ebay shop too.

Andy, the bearings on fleebay are £4.15 thats including delivery. If you buy from Rossmods they will cost you £18.80 for EIGHT! I know what I'd be going for.

that why i use them i'm about 15 miles from them, sometimes cheeper due to postage costs with other places and you get free delivery if you spend over £50.

Sorry Voo, I forgot to put that I am getting the 1s of ebay not the ross mods 1s:clown: Have you used these by the way? They are rubber seals rather than metal inserts - how do they compare to the genuine bearings?

.....as an alternative, the bearings with the metal inserts as per the FG parts are 79p each from JE Spares.....

I have bought a set of metal and rubber,so has Jacko,Jay,Super...etc I think the rubber are better as they don't let as much dirt in.I cant tell the difference between them.
