wheel inserts

my rampage xt wheel inserts have gone bad. unfortunately, redcat doesn't sell just inserts. what do you guys use in your wheels? I was told to just go to walmart and get some memory foam and cut it to fit. does this work well??

Many guys have made there own out of memory foam or pool noodles.
