The best deals are on used tires/wheels. Some of the more popular ones are Hostile and Proline. I avoid HPI tires. You can pick up a used set on ebay for 80-130 usually but a new set is just under 200 usually. You can stick with stock to save $. I never had a prob with MT tires/wheels plus the MT ones are the biggest in the biz but they do slow the truck down a bit. If you run 5b/5t wheels you will need 5b/5t rear hexes at all 4 corners of the ramp. Im waiting on parts to arrive to guinea pig the proline 40 series conversion but thats experimental cuz those are for 1/8 scale but it has been done on the 5b though.
 
Thats one of the best features of the Rampage, the ability to use Baja Hexes. It opens up a huge assortment of wheel/tire combinations.
 
Alot of us are using Proline wheels and tires with the baja adapters. They are much lighter and offer much more grip. The Baja 5T tires are the highest you can find, without having the Monster look.
