Wheels cracking

One of my front wheels came off a couple times so far....lost the pin that goes through the hex hub. While putting the wheels back on I noticed that the plastic rim is spiderweb cracking from the center of the hub out. Anyone else have this happen to them? Here's a couple pics:

To me it looks lile u maybe over torquing the nut are u useing loctite?

Maybe I did over tighten it a little bit. Nope no loctite

Use blue loctite on the wheel nuts that way you don't have to tighten them so tight and use green loctite on the pins the wont come loose anymore

Maybe running in below freezing temps? Never saw that before as far as I know.

I have been running in Michigan temps


I can't justify using loc tite everytime I take the wheels on or off


It's holding up okay for now, so I will run it til it breaks!

haven't happen to me, but on my friends XB the tires cut on the first run...in a sand pit

DOH! I just ordered some Redcat XB wheels to replace my old wheels. I guess if they don't last I'll get some HPI adapters and run 5B fronts.

hey count just went down and looked at mine and didn't notice any cracking on mine and i have taken some hard hits this winter i am kinda leaning on the over torqued side but you never can be to sure i guess but like everyone else blame it on the dang Michigan winter we have here lol I'm ready for spring
