Silicone ear plugs are just really, really thick Silicone diff fluid. For the simpletons liek me i can't wrap my head around using earplugs in a diff. Anyone have pics?
I would advise not trying this with used ear plugsUnless you pack the diff solid they won't hold up for long, they also don't "heal" like 20mil diff oil does. If you want to see what a diff will do to them toss a few in your mouth for 5 minutes and chew vigorously then spit them out.
There's far worse to try, atleast he doesn't want to stuff the diff with tide podsI would advise not trying this with used ear plugs![]()
I don't use them, never have. But, I know what they are and where to get them. LolUnless you pack the diff solid they won't hold up for long, they also don't "heal" like 20mil diff oil does. I put a diff locker in my center with the rubber inserts. They called it a torque dampener. I can't find them anymore. I have extra rubber inserts but the metal parts are no longer available. I don't remember the name off hand...@jeepfreak1972 yea same here, tried them in a friend's dbxl-e 2.0 and it just shredded them to bits and made the diff open after awhile.
