I run the xb,we have a good number of them here at the track in chicago. Thier llight,relatvely quick with the stock engine and a rocket with an obr engine. Rember the more you bash the more you maintain. Whatever you choose have fun and enjoy.
 
It is all about your taste,

I have a DR and is much better for bash, but the xb is much lighter and make faster so if you want go for speed go with the xb and if you want to bash go for a DR.
 
The DR is much larger than the XB also. The DR is a little beefier. Both lack in the tire dept. so plan on upgrading wheels and tires.

They are different platforms so the question of which is better is just an opinion. Both are a blast!
 
Go with the Dunerunner. You don't need to add a lot to it. The stock tires and wheels should get by until you can afford some HPI adapters. All you really need is a kill switch, an air filter and some better servos.

+1 on this the DR will need less to add and run forever the XB you will have to do upgrades but then when you do you will have a great fast XB. but get the one that makes you happy and enjoy.
