Im a large rc addict and looking for a new car to buy. Which would you get the New Losi WRC Rally or the new MCD XS-5 inroad super car. I don't race professionally just bash. Let me know your thoughts I would love to here which car you RC addicts would get.

Where would you want to / be able to use it?

The MCD will NOT have much ground clearance.
The Losi, MUCH bigger than 1/5 scale so is not scale, WILL have some decent ish ground clearance.

Alternative / replacement shells?
Generally these things are tough, but there will come a time you'll need to replace the shell, can you?

Al.

I'd buy a real 1:1 used Mazda MX-5 instead! I am addicted, but sheesh $3K is serious money for another model. I vote Losi WRC Mini Cooper, just to see one in action.

I'm not really worried about ground clearance if i got the losi i was going to drop it a 1/2 inch with hostile slicks for more inroad use. My birthday is in October so I'm getting something. I can't go wrong with either car both of them are build like tanks. heres my collection list

Losi 5ive T
FG 2wd with 2 speed and samba pipe
Fg 2wd stock
Redcat Chimera
MCD x4 rally
I know I'm an addict

i would go for the wrc.....im waiting for one to show up at the rc shop here but i am extremely curious to try out the fuel injected motor next to no tuning (claimed) does seem awesome plus the avc is supposed to work awesome on it and remote operated electric start and stop system etc. and basically just seems like a more versatile car it can be run out side take a few jumps etc. would be a much better bashing car in my opinion as its based off of the 5ive chassis (but bodies could get spendy with it)and i haven't seen anything for specs on the the mcd other than it does look freakin saweet but has fairly limited uses its not really something you can drive just anywhere the dual hitec servos tuned pipe everything looks built top notch however i don't think it will take much impact from hills small rocks etc. to break it so your almost limited to pavement or indoor track (not that it couldn't run in a flat park or such if you wanted) and being on hard surfaces where the exhaust comes out you would probably get quite the oily back tire which would be great for drifting to the left but not very advantageous asides from that but end of the day all depends on what you want to do with it really......if its for bashing i would say the wrc would be your pick, and for me as there is only off road tracks and driving areas here (i use the dirt bike track for my dbxl) the wrc would be my pick.....it think parking lots and walking trails would get old pretty quick but thats just my opinion

I have the Losi 5ive and have nothing bad to say about them. Looking forward to something different. Might be shooting for the new XS-5. Pending review. You can't go wrong with an FG 4wd sedan. Did I read that right though XS-5 might be close to 3k. Sheesh a couple bucks more and you can get a RS5 for around that kinda money.

Revolauncher, where did you see the price for the XS-5?

Since you already have a 5ive, that would make less parts you would have to "stock" since it is a shared platform. Plus if you are state side Losi parts would probably be easier to get than FG. That WRC looks killer too!
