Okay I have searched several forums and not been able to find an answer. I have a km thor pipe on a km 30.5 4 bolt motor with a walbro 990 carb and was wondering if a different pipe would improve performance. Obviously It would have to be a big enough improvement to warrant the expense.
 
If your not happy get one but most on here will tell you what we like so it's up to you to spend money on what I like or some one els likes do what you thank is right all pipes are about the same some a little better but not much your big choice is loud or silenced

Hey Nitrocat

I am looking in the other direction. Just for the sake of keeping peace with my neighbors what can you or anyone recommend for a super quiet pipe to run on my 30.5 cc? Just want to use it when around the neighbors. Any advise would be appreciated;)

Well for what and how much do you have to spend you can get any where from $140 to $250 for DBXL and for a 5ive I have a jetpro there quite and rebuild able and you can get a bare pipe for $140 shiped and about the same for 5ive the only thing with them is the header joint has hose clamps and if you tighten them down while hot you can bend header pipe but as Lon as you know this no problem then there's bartolone $ 238 I think at DDM I have one on my 5ive I like it the best for Raceing
The BZM pipe is quite for not being a silenced pipe
DDM has a pipe of there Owen that you can take silencer on or off I thank have not seen it for a 5ive

i just bought a bartolone xp big bore silenced for my g320 and im saling my DDM dominator with silencer also have the losi tune pipe used about half a tank ill sale together for 200 beans
 
Silenced or un-silenced, you will still piss off the neighbors. It's just a matter on how much they will put up with.....eventually, they will complain. Good Luck!!
 
Unsilenced bartolone xp. Just run it around the neighbor hood for a tank then stop. Its no more less anoying then the gardners weed wacker/ leaf blower @ 8 am. And the only reason your neighbors will be pissed is because of jealousy. You got a losi and they don't haha
 
I can guarantee a GBE end bleed will be the best for it.I had a hell of alot of pipes here and there and this was the best for a 28.5cc modded mill with a standard 668. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

Use the stock can muffler. There pretty quiet I still have my stock air filter and exhaust. But I only used the tuned pipe very loud and high flow air filter. Those 2 upgrades realy do increase performance. In my experience at least.
 
sounds like originally was talking about a pipe for a Baja,, the km thor pipe,, ive use the jetpro v3 mid to high pipe and just replaced it with the model logic pipe ,, holy crap, what a difference... LOVE this model logic 5t side pipe,,, will break loose proline trenchers with truck gearing and 18/56 gears on pavement with a stock 2 bolt hy 30.5 with a lightened flywheel,, and a 990.. can drift with buggy tires,, and still screams pretty good on time,, not as high as the v3,, but payed 170 bucks at ddm deal of day, so not complaining
