I race my Losi 5ive-T at a local track in a series. They currently run 4 classes; 4WD Pro (Losi), 4WD Amateur (Losi), 2WD Buggy (HPI Baja), and 2WD Short Course (HPI Baja 5T)
I was watching some 1/8 race vids, and all the different companies who make decent 1/8 scale off road rides. I then got to thinking, who would I like to see come out with their own new 1/5 scale off road, and what kind would I like to see.
Team Associated was the first company to come to mind. And I was thinking, do I want to see an other 4WD truck from them to contend with the Losi 5ive-T. Or a 4WD Buggy to compete with the AJA converted 5ive-T's that are now 4Wd buggies. Maybe another Baja style 2wd to contend with the enormous amount of HPI Baja's out there. Or better yet, a 2WD SC truck to contend with the current 5T's with the option to convert to buggy. Kyosho came to mind as well.
In numerous conversations with friends at the track, a lot of us see the 1/5 scale taking place of a lot of 1/8 scale racing. Or so we hope. Sure it may be a little more expensive in the start, but it's definitely cheaper in the long run.
Anywho, vote in the pole, let us know what you think. Comment as well if you have something to add.
