Just put a new motor in my rs4 and was reminded how annoying these things are. Pull the damn cord more the 3x and it floods, goes through glow plugs and igniter batteries like it's goin outta style, blisters on the hands and this is supposed to be fun? Just threw it across the lawn and that gave me more pleasure then running the damn thing. Needless to say I'm selling all my old rollers and buying another 5th. Spread the word, nitros are lame!

Sold all of mine this spring when I bought my first 1/5th. So far, it has been much easier! Couldn't agree with you more.

Sorry to hear of your bad experience with nitro. I have 6 nitro's on my shelf a few brushless 1/8 buggies, a crawler and my bad boy 5b. I really have not had any tuning or running issues with my nitro trucks and buggies, I keep the engines clean and oiled when done and they seem to fire right up. I have a few friends who have had issues and it seems that they were not up keeping their rigs, or maybe their engines had a lot of hours on them or they were overheated. Have a good one buddy..

Don't get me wrong nitros are cool. The speed, sound, size, smell is all cool in my book but the finickiness is ridiculous. My motor is brand new, prob is I keep flooding the motor yankin on the pullstart. Of course me being a nitro noob doesn't help but I never had any type of trouble getting my 5th running and stay running. If the motor didn't flood after 4 pulls it wouldn't be all that bad but the whole process of unscrewing the glow plug yankin the cord to get all of that excess fuel out all the while spraying it everywhere is just uncalled for. Oh ya and those stupid glow igniter batteries die soooo fast. I've gone through 2 10 packs of D batteries already..... I'm actually about to try and get it running in a few min, not even looking forward to it. Last weeks blisters just healed! lol

Oh yeah, Ive had my shave of between the finger blisters they suck especially when nitro gets in there. The glow plugs hate being too rich and the motor hates being to lean sometimes hard to find balance. Good luck...

I enjoy my nitro.
It is great to have around when I flood the 1/5 and the size means I can use it in smaller areas.
I love the smell of nitro in the morning!!

LOL, I've not touch a nitro car since I got my first Large scale car , I'm not even missing them, for the smaller scales I went to electric, I don't think I'll own nitros again.

Turn on choke and pull until it pops (not when it starts). Shut choke off and it should start within 2 or 3 pulls. If it doesn't you might be too rich on your low needle. Adjust a tiny bit leaner until it starts properly and then you won't ever have to drag out the nitro's again and the pile of stuff it takes to get it started lol.

Haha! I was just coming on to ask if these nitro guys carry a tool belt for all the BS that is needed lol.... I never ever flooded my 5th he must have something seriously outta tune for that to happen.

Found another annoying nitro querk tonight. Decided to take the rs4 out for a night drive on the highway and as soon as I hit about 50-55 it stalled out. Half tank of gas but lines empty, I guess the tank lost pressure. Now if it was my 5th I woulda gotten just about every drop outta that thing. Of course the 2 batteries I brought with for the igniter died and the fun was over before it began, again! FYI driving on a dark road with tail lights and head lights only helps show what direction your going, hard to tell which way your veering.
