i see they are slightly different, but don't want to be paying mega money for them,

maybe i will just have to keep plastic for now

Have you tried eBay.de? They list quite a few fg 4x4 parts mate

Yes they are def the 2wd mounts. The 4wd large mount sits higher and has a sort of recess on the top post for the brace to fix to rather than just a screw hole in the top like this 1.
