No doubt its been explained a few times, but I will ask any way.
This is the set up I have.
Spektrum DX3R tx
Spektrum SR3100 rx
Hitec HS 5755MG x 2 steering servos
Ace DS1015 throtle / hydro brake servo
Futaba 2344 FET hydro brake servo
Battle switch kill switch
6.6v life battery
Can anyone explain the correct way to connect all this lot up?
Cheers.
Jonnas.

Mike will have fine tuning racer details I'm sure.
Sounds like it's basically identical to mine.
Unless you want to 'mix' and have individual control on brake bias, the throttle/brake and the front brake servo can be connected via a Y-lead into the throttle/brake input.
The 2 steering servos again connected via Y-lead into the steering input on the Rx.
This can leave the 3rd channel free for other things - lights, or preferably remote kill via Superbee.

I could comment and tbh what Al says isn't the wrong way to do it but He knows my thoughts on certain items lol

You could make a fancy loom i.e direct feeds for the servo power but the receiver should be able to take all ther servos without any problems, mine does but then again, I'm in tha dark ages with 40mhz and a tonegawa.

Not much help in the "bashing" world am I Al?

I DO have the power by-pass circuitry, but it may not be necessary.

Check this out - this is also what I use:
http://rc-car-online.de/shop/en/pro...pply-cable-with-electronic-switch-1-pce-.html

This permits full battery power to the servos, and only the SIGNAL lead is connected to / communicating with the Rx.

I've gone further, and have hard-wired mine in as well, as I was having a few 'complications'.
This is fine as is.

I went further, as Mike was implying, and HAD been using LiPo, with this, and a couple of voltage stabilisers, and so much blasted spaghetti I may as well be Italian!!
I've reverted to NiMH - 'though I AM going to try your LiFe option - nice find - and have dropped the LRP 6V/10A stabilisers.

Al.

Yeah, that's what I thought with my 'Mike can help with the racer's input'.

I'm quite happy with full control by normal means with 'Terminator power'!

My Rhinos have been 100% so it's one expense I don't want to consider, the Tonegawa one.
Al.

The daft thing is, before my mate dave did the mount to fit the losi and the price of the tonegawa servos went up again, I've bought 3 or 4 for less than £35 each.

On the wiring side of life, a direct feed loom is fine. I'm not interested in Lipo or LifE and there added complications. I wouldn't use a kill switch and an on/off switch is just something else to go wrong.

There's a fundamental difference here Mike.
You're an Engineer and an experienced racer, so you both know all of the 'possible fail symptoms' and also know how to address them.

The failsafe and remote kill-switch additions are an absolute must IMhO for most lesser-/non-experienced RC fans such as myself.

It's a bit like Clarkface switching off the traction control the moment he gets in the latest 740bhp 6.3-litre V12 Ferrari F12B then wondering why he's slower than with it on - HE'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
Needell on the other hand - another issue.
Al.

There are plenty of people in racing using the looms LifE and lipo, thats not a problem - I just like to keep things simple without spending extra. I have a built in fail safe on my 3pks so thats not a problem.

Kill switches are my dislike, I don't think they're required if the car is maintained and set up correctly.

Thought that was the way to go, just wanted it confirming.
Keep it as simple as possible, thats my motto.
Thanks for the help Al.

No worries mate - if it did!!
Just replaced the 'weatherproof' box containing all of the electronics - twice the size I need now.

When 5 months' pregnant (baby now born), when trying to sympathise with the wife, asking how she felt, she went downstairs, took a 4Kg dumb-bell, then promptly attacked the FG MT with it - rear brake mount, throttle/rear brakes servo horn and the Rx box took the brunt of it.
Final part now replaced, and all is well - son is with us now !!

Get yourself a man cave and it wouldn't have been an issue.
