Holy crap!!! I just looked up the piston ring required for my engine (don't need one yet, well obviously it hasn't ran 5 mins lol) just for future reference and gotdayum!! $21 for ONE ring!! What I get for going for a full race cyl kit

Yeah it's not expensive In the grand scheme of things buts compared to normal stuff, it's expensive. To out into perspective, your complete piston is $19, my ring is 21 (not a brag). Piston itself is $70.

Yep ??? except next time (if there is one ) there will be Dremel making itself useful in the ports! Or next time they're might be a Roost Havoc kit that might move in place of Ms Athena.

Amything Athena is VERY expensive. I was running a 144cc big bore kit in my 2009 Yamaha YZ125 and I seized a piston from too lean jetting and running too hard in cold temps. The replacement Athena piston kit is $183 !!

And I had to have the Athena BB cylinder repaired/ re-chromed and that was $225 . Wake up and accept the fact that high performance is high dollar !
