worn clutch

aup put new steel gear on my mcd evo and it got so hot and worn my clutch shoes away. can i just put new shoes and b ok. thanks

You can put new clutch shoes on, but they will burn up too, unless you find out what is dragging or binding. You'll need to fix the problem or it will happen again.

could be the brakes sticking or the gears to close together too much rubbage :boat:

hi ive got the 2 speed steel gears and last weekend burnt out a comp clutch with new shoes the problem was the layshaft gear and the diff gear too tight due to engine movement ....
