Can you get the redcat rampage over there? best bang for the buck there is. few upgrades and you have a totally bashable buggy/truck. pick mine up tomorrow.
or an mcd race runner from modelsport.co.uk for 600 odd quid. you need is radio gear for either.

I wouldn't suggest that. A few guys a your ago got that and no one got it running well. Either broke and couldn't get support or installation fit was very poor. Do a search on here and you will see what I am talking about.

It's shame the baja is 180 more (canada dollar is crap at the minute) cos i wouldn't mind one, only MCD I like but right now it's like $1800 + shipping so over 2K for me

yeah the kami kit is crap stay clear.
I've known a couple of local MCD MT owners and they didn't keep them long, always broke. I don't know whether it's just the big tires they can't handle because the buggies don't seem to have half the issues , but the evo 3 has been improved so maybe they're tougher now.
I'm looking at the baja1000 for my next car sometime next year so I'm not an anti MCD guy just in case it seems that way.

I have a MCD MT, and a Redcat MT, IMO, the redcat is made better it needs a few things done to it, the after sales service from the redcat is excellent, somthing I can't say about the MCD.

Don't do that. If you want a 5b, just buy one. If you want a FG or a MCD buy one, if you can't afford it save up till you can.

We have to support the manufacturers if we don't there won't be any parts for anything.
