I've just purchased and received a wt 813 carb. Im slightly worried about it because when i blip the throttle, no fuel comes out of the little brass hole in the air inlet. Any help?

Btw, how does the throttle shaft operate the pump, could anything be blocked (its brand new so I doubt it will be but its just a possibility)

check your hoses are in the right connectors? lower connector is the fuel inlet, upper top connector is the vent,
also what are you needle settings at?

All the connectors (fuel lines) are in the right places. Its just that if i squeeze the throttle, i don't see any fuel coming out of the nozzle in the air inlet. I'm not really sure exactly how the carb itself works which may be the source of my confusion.

wait are you trying to see fuel just to see it? or there a starting/running issue? if the engine starts and it runs fine then i would'nt worry about not seeing fuel

yeah it starts up, i just thought that i'd see a little spurt of fuel when i squeezed the throttle

sometimes you do, sometimes you don't see the fuel. its more like a little bubbling of fuel that comes from the port, than it is a squirt.
