The longer you go on the x port you will need to trim the bed for more air on the body. They do help. if you are wanting good low end torque without breaking the bank. Get a RD Logics from Python motorsports for a baja run the medium x port. This won't work with buggy rear wing but will in truck or I can mod the header to make it look as it was made for the truck. See RD Logics modded header post.

You forgot to add that it would probably be a good idea to spot weld the stingers on the X-can or they will vibrate loose.
 
The 1 inch and 3 inch stingers on the Xcan are very good. The 6 inch stingers are the vibration problem. If you are looking for low end Monster truck torque, the Xcan is the way to go.
 
i run the x-can with the 1" stingers with very good results in both my Redcat Buggy and my 5B also...but i had one rattle out on me so now i check them regulary
