With the really cold weather I've broken a bunch of parts so I decided to convert my XB-E into a Baja. Still waiting on a few parts, but here is what I've done so far. I used the 7075rc chassis to lengthen the wheel base, Ramtech adapter so I could install some Pro-line bowtie tires and shortened a King Motor T1000 body.

I just noticed you don't have a motor mounted yet. What are you planning on running?

I'm waiting on some bullet connectors to put in a Leopard 5692 1340Kv motor and CC XL2 ECS using a 48T spur & 12T pinion. I'll run it on 6S so hopefully overheating won't be problem.

I finally found some time to finish this project. It's a blast to drive! I'm going to add a separate battery for the steering servo, ESC fan and two motor fans. The servo is a little slow and I can hear the fans slow down when I test the steering.

The XL2 didn't hold up. It caught on fire after a few runs. That's what I get for running outside the specs.

I'll change over to the CC 2028 motor. Found the XL2/2028 combo on eBay at a good deal.

Man these castle xl2 esc have a very bad reputation for going up in flames for 1/5 RC's id say go MGM all the way well worth the money

Over 25lbs plus 4WD increases the load on it. You have to keep the gearing really low. Higher voltage keeps the amps down, making it more efficient.
