New to the hobby, trying to get used to my xb gas rc.

Won't start now??? Can you give me your top 5 troublshooting tips?

Would you... check/replace spark plug? Change out the gas? Other??? What are the top troubleshooting steps for "won't start"?

I don't think its flooded, i checked.

Thanks.

Vent the gas tank, set your needles to 1 1/4 for low speed,1 1/2 for high speed.Mix your gas 5.12 oz of oil to 1 gallon of gas = 25:1. don't choke it.Get a kill switch, killer bee being the best.Make shure your coil is tight(the bolts)check to make shure your getting spark.Hope this helps.

Not starting of a new car most of the time is because of:

1-vapor lock. You will need to vent the fuel cap or tank.

2-flooded. You should not have to choke a warm engine.

3-incorrect carb settings. Should be 1 1/4 out L and 1 1/2 out H

4-plug the cheap plug that comes with the car can just go bad. Check to see if fouled.

5-correct fuel mixture. Should be 25 parts fuel to 1 part 2 stroke oil.

Thanks, keep em' coming folks. :D

So, getting a new plug is a decent idea? I guess these things aren't bullet-proof/eternal?

Vent the gas tank... what exactly does that mean/look like? Thanks.

It's always a good idea to have spare parts on hand spark plugs being one for sure.

The little hole in the gas cap plugs up. You can either add a vent tube to the cap or directly into the tank. I did mine into the tank. The 3rd line is to vent the tank.
