Out of the box, the XL-E is great, but I really need to to take off a little easier than it does. Feathering the throttle still causes it to lurch a bit. We're using it for a camera platform, and I'm not sure if a gearing schange will solve this or if I should rip out the whole motor/ESC and just use the rolling chassis with another motor solution. Looking for opinions here...

Would gearing help at all? Does anyone with a larger pinion notice a smoother takeoff? If so, where can I buy that 16T pinion? I don't see it offered anywhere online.

Thanks!

A smaller pinion should make things smoother, you could also try running on 6s rather than 8s ? ( assuming your on 8s and don't need massive top speed )
