xmaxx wont turn off and reciver broken?

Hi i have a problem with my xmaxx. It wont turn off on the button -.- i always need to unplug the batteries....
all of the electronics are new exept the small reciver. Also when i tuch the reciver cables with the car ON the servo keeps jagging/rugging??
have done regular resets.
sorry for my bad english :D
help on this would be lovely!
 
FWIW, I've had an Xmaxx for over 3 years and the ESC button has never turned it off. Since I pretty much unplug the batteries when turning a car off anyway, I just never messed with it. If it's new, try Traxxas support. But mine's been running strong for 3+ years regardless.
 
Traxxas changed firmware a few years ago to deliberately disable powering off the ESC via button. Apparently people were turning off the ESC but leaving batteries plugged into it, and then the batteries would be ruined through vampiric drain. Traxxas likely got sick of all the warranty claims on their batteries.

Long story short - your power button works the way Traxxas wants it to.

That makes a lot of sense. I was wondering why my power button wasn't working myself. Thanks!!
