XRC 1E32F Engine Reverse operation?

hi there.

We are a student group working on a hoovercraft project. We are using 2 XRC 1E32F engines in our craft. We wondered that this motor can operate in reverse direction, or not? In the manual, rotating direction is specified as counterclockwise. We want to use one of them in clockwise direction. We tried to get a contact with the XRC but we couldn't get an answer. Thank you for your help.
 
im not sure of the engine you are talking about, however i cant see why you couldnt. you would need to figure out how to start it backwards, and cooling may be an issue (the fins on the flywheel would be pointing the wrong way). you also would need to relocate the coil to have the correct ignition timing
