Anyone know where in Australia (preferably melbourne) I can get metal gears for the XRC2 to replace the stock plastic ones? Ive seen a link for a place in the UK but would prefer to get it locally if I could.

Also I don't like the look of the plastic front arms, anyone know if there is an aftermarket alum or alloy ones I could use as a replacement?

Thanks

also i seen them cars at kellets hobbie shop in sydney / liverpool...maybe they might be able to help you.....

thanks for the info, I got no idea about the FG fitting. I contacted the guy I bought it from and he said there is a place in Sydney that stock these parts called Ace Hobby Distributors so I might give them a call and see what their prices are like.

250 for a 42cc, if its in decent nick thats a good price. Ill do a search for kellets, thanks again

At 42cc you will be loosing alot or RPM.

Are you talking the drive gears on the side? Is the pinion metal and spur plastic like the Baja? Are the gears like the HPI Baja?

I highly doubt my 1/5 would house a mill of that size but could be interesting to build one from scratch with that kind of size.

Yeah Im talking about the drive gears on the side, from what I have read of the net these plastic gears don't last very long and I should replace with metal ones asap so im trying to get a couple before my buggy is deleivered.

From what ive been told both the gears are plastic.

Well after some looking around I found that support or parts availability for the model is tough. It does sound like the Fg gears will fit but not too many other upgrades.

Fg 18 teeth steel and 46 teeth plastic gears fit straight on the xrc with an fg 60mm gear carrier and bushes

Thats that info will come in very handy, I believe my local hobby shop stock parts for the FG.

What I would really love to find but don't like my chances are some alloy arms for the front! Might have to try and fabricate some or try some from different models, might get expensive that way though.

Awesome, ill have a look. I found one guy on the net that was thinking about it. I will keep in touch with him and if he does maybe get him to make a couple extra.

Could make some money out of it!
