XT at the track

Had the XT out on the weekend bashing around on a local motocross track. It was running like a champ until I tried to go through a puddle that was way deeper then I thought! It was deep enough that the air filter was half under water, and it stalled out right away.


During the tear down/clean up back at home I noticed that the cylinder gasket blown and starting to push out. Is this the one I need, or is there a better one?

Here is a picture of the gasket pushing out. I think it may have blown when I hit the water because there was no oil/gas around the leak, and it was running so well up until I hit the water.

looks like a fun place to bash them up some, and Crapper on the gasket. haven't had to delve into any motor issues yet knock on wood

I've had good luck with the Zen head gasket. Just torque the head bolts to 5 ft-lbs and you're golden.
