XT Front Differential

I talked to the guy I got my XT from and asked him about why he had the front disabled, he told me that the seal busted and was leaking the fluid out of the differential and thats why he unhooked the front end so the gears didn't get damaged. now the fun part finding the seal he was talking about and getting that up and running again.


Thank goodness he has all the dog bones and all that and is sending them to me so I won't have to buy those parts so my next task and trust me I will have questions i am sure

Front seal?

If it's like the rear it's just an O-ring,there are three in there not sure of the size sorry but easy to get at any hardware store.

When I first got my MT, the crown gear screws were loose which caused it to leak. Look out for that. Could be the seal between the crown gear and the diff shell, as well.
