looking at buying a new rx tx set, looking at a futaba 2.4 but have noticed recievers are :w00t: expensive!.question is does a futaba tx need a futaba rx or can any 2.4 reciever be bound succesfully to futaba tx?.thanx

Reason why the futaba rx's are so expensive is because their new fasst system is the best also you can only use a futaba tx with a futaba rx

Note: Futaba is now offering 2 rx's with their 4pks radio's at participating outlets

You don't need to pay through the nose. For years now the 3pk/3vc or 3pks/3vcs has been by far the best radio available and the choice of 90% of racers throughout the world. You can pick up a 40meg radio for peanuts on ebay and the reason I've gone back to 40 meg is that no bugger is using it so there are far fewer issues.

I still have my 40 meg module/rx ready to refit if I ever have any trouble with the 2.4 in my 3pk, like mike said nobody uses 40 meg anymore so I can't see any reason not to give it a try.

thanks guys.i bit the bullet and bought a 3pks 2.4.should be arriving this week,be prepared for more questions, like how do you turn it on,how do you set it up and how do you drive one of these monster rc cars!.
