yea mate can,t wait till tomorrow , yea thats bmx inner tube size is 1.5 what i used to use in my race bike.

It's funny isn't it Rossco, that the great majority of your mods are not hpi, but aftermarket vendors, so yours is not so much becoming a non clone, but a typical modded Baja, where the origins become less relevant by the minute. If only the zealots would realise this and give up on their "holier than thou" attitude/crusade.

I reckon the only people who can possibly occupy the "higher ground" are those incredibly rare people who run nothing but HPI parts on their buggy...
and I don't know if any of them actually exist!

Too true bud,,,,,I wass bagged out bigtime by a dude at a local club not far from here for having a ( clone with mods ) as he called it.

He also called me a criminal for not supporting the designer of the car!

Upon close inspection of his baja,,,,,,there was not one single component that had the HPI name tag,,,,,,,,EVERYTHING was aftermarket alloy & carbon fibre!

So,,,,,,I gladly informed him that all he had was a $6000 HPI clone,,and that he was a little rich mumma's boy.

After all,,,you buy what you can afford!

Besides that,,,,,all of us clone owners ARE supporting HPI because the clone companies---KM,,,ROVAN,,,SQ,,,---have to pay annual royalties to HPI for the use of their design,,,,,,,,,,,it is COPYRIGHT LAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So,,,a percentage of our purchase goes to HPI.

We may not be supporting HPI directly,,but we are supporting them,,,be it indirectly or by spare parts.

Here is one for you! It's an e-conversion KM T1000!

Yeh mate I totally agree. I just cannot understand all this "Clone Hating" that goes on. Why don't these people put their efforts into promoting our sport and encouraging people to fire up a 1/5th , be it an HPI , an SQ , a KM or whatever..... AND JUST HAVE FUN AND ENJOY DRIVING IT ! Surely thats what its all about ???
My mate Pablo runs an SQ Baja and its a great machine and all we care about is how big the grins are on our faces when we are blasting our machines round a muddy field...........NOT WHO MADE OUR CARS !!!!!!!

Apologies, I will step down off my soap box now !!!!! :helpsmilie:
