Funny as i know i would be using the same berrings for 5+ years. Trick is to use 3 per crankcase

Not gunna modify my case for another bearing. Nachi is just fine for me ?

U pop out the case seal on the clutch side and use a single sided sheilded berring in its place. 0 mods press in fit and go.

I'm good tbh, have to take the case apart and such,
Im curious tho, is their a noticable gain over a steel bearing?

I tried a set of si3n4 in a saw I built. The flywheel side held up great. Not so much on the clutch side. Just didnt like all the load I guess. Kinda bummed me out permanently on them. This was quite a few years ago.

Ceramic don't thermally expand under heat *as much* as steel.thus less drag and less likely for berring failure

They are also harder and smoother, generating a lower co efficient of friction. Which = smoother operation. The down side is they don't like shock loads.
