have test 2 motors for my fg 4wd mini motor 1 g270rc with 24/40 gearing
test the r260rc with 24/40 gearing the r260rc had more top end power
what gearing do l need to put on the g270rc to make it as fast as the g260rc ???
 
I find it a bit surprising that you notice a difference between the two.
Are you sure the tuning was spot on on the 270?
Plug OK? Ring / seal not worn?

If it were a 230 / 240, then I could expect them to wind out more, but you would need to lower the gearing for pickup.

I've not seen any comparisons side by side with the 260 and 270, just that the 270 is theoretically more robust ....

Perhaps its the pipe, but again, shouldn't be anything to choose between the 2?
