fg mini class for 4wd kit come with a r270rc 4 bolt motor but at are round 1 race meet
a r260rc was more fast on top end power then the r270rc the fg mini 4wd class has to be ran out of the box no mods to car or motor
 
Isn't the 270RC a 4-bolt and the 260RC a 2-bolt head?
Might be a combination of tuning and actual compression - could be a new ring in the 260RC you saw and the compression on the 270RC was dropping a little.

270's have more tq and rev slightly lower than the 260. Can u gear the vehicle? If so make the change there, that 270 has the power to pull more gearing
