There is a Rotostart for the large scale engines. I saw one on Youtube.

Or you can just remove the pull-start and start it with a socket and your drill, but stay away from dirt and rocks. Because under the pull start, the cooling fins on the flywheel are exposed and they are very brittle! If you break one, the motor will be out of balance and vibrate itself to death very quickly.

Why don't you just pull the recoil apart and clean it? Do a search on "Recoil Repair" on here. Bigger the better did a "how-to" a few years ago and it's pretty simple and works well.

Spend the time and fix it correctly or just buy a new one for 25 bux!
 
thanks man,found vid on how to tighten recoil without dissasembly,works perfect.do you know would i get spark if kill button was faulty and do you know how to replace them?
 
The switch is on an open circuit so if the button is pressed the spark goes to ground. So that being said, if the killswitch is disconnected it will run, but you would have to touch the wires together to kill the motor.

Replacing the switch is very simple and straight forward. You can buy a new switch or even better, replace the switch with a failsafe/killswitch like this one.

in off roads I remove the mechanical kill switch altogether and put the killer in. same with power switches (though I forgot with the newest one and second time out the power switch was dead ending my day before it began)
