Has anyone installed a Futaba magnetic RPM sensor on a Zenoah engine?

Has anyone installed a Futaba magnetic RPM sensor on a Zenoah engine? Curious to know how before I order mine. I’ve seen some mounts that screw under the coil and mount the magnetic rpm sensor towards the flywheel magnet but not sure how well they work. Any advice will help. Thanks.

Just curious as to why? If you want to know your engines rpm then get a trail tech tachometer, can't say I've come across anyone with a telemetry rpm sensor. There's really no point as to watching your rpm other than you just want to.

You are correct lol, it would just be nice to have

Technically...and officially...those sensors are designed specifically for electric motors, not gas/nitro engines. I wish you luck in figuring out a way to do it...but, in all honesty, it's probably going to be a waste of time.

I used to have an optical RPM sensor on an older Baja 5b that I had. I put the reflector on the spur gear and mounted the sensor to the spur gear back plate.
