Have to love how addicting RC's are when they so close tot he real thing. I am going to make a Supermoto version to match my long gone but never forgotten 07' KTM 525.

Started with a OfferUp deal on the Red Losi Promoto MX
Upgrades:
1. Wheels-Tires - Not liking the supermoto offerings from ProLine, i will try these Vitavon wheels and tires. The tires do not heavy a heavy indicator like full-size so i found out where it is.
2. Plastics - I ordered the "Orange" replacement plastics
3. Graphics - I ordered a KTM set form Macs Graphics. Not 07' but close enough. Dirt Industries (I had them on my 450) makes some for the LPM but i am not spending $100 for stickers.

I will run this is stock form suspension wise until i research the Forks and Shock for possible lowering, spring rates etc etc.
Vitavon also has Black, Blue, Red, Gold and i chose Silver as i can customize them a little more than a solid color.

Little lunch time wrenching.

Rear Wheel:
7075 Brake Rotor
Losi Stock Sprocket 36T
Losi Stock Axle Spacer ** Vitavon uses bigger OD bearings than stock but the ID is the same s you re-use your stock spacer
I don't know what grade the bolts are from Vitavon so i swapped the Sprocket ones for Grade 12.9. The Brake Rotor is Faux so i used Vitavons

After assembly the heavy spot on the wheel moved 2.75 spokes. A huge difference even on a RC.

Rear Wheel:
Losi Stock Brake Rotor *
Losi Stock Brake Rotor bolts **

* I read reviews of new owners having sticky front brakes. Between the cam and the amount of shipping grease on the rotor and brakes pads at least i can agree with the cam needing a little sanding and flashing taken off. I lapped the rotor as it had a few pieces of flashing from when it was punched out right at the brake disc area. I PDA my brand new or used motorcycles and glad i did on the RC version.

** Machining oil as usual (I ultrasonic clean all my new hardware). A little bit of machining flash on the Brake Rotor itself that made the rotor not "Float" smoothly. So, a quick deburr and all is good.

After assembly the heavy spot on the wheel moved 1 spoke. A difference even on a RC.

The wheels and tires arrived way before my glue so hopefully it will show up tomorrow as scheduled. Now the fun part begins as i haven't glued wheels for probably 15 years.

I am liking the look so far and now i have dirt spares for the Wardy KX.
