Been looking for specs on watercooler and air cooled clutches, finally found out the air cooled crank hole is 14mm inside and tapers to 11mm at the nut, then for the liquid cooled model it just says 10mm and doesn't mention a taper. Found a 7500 rpm clutch for raminator on detroit performance but it turns out to be a lower rpm option for Taylor engines. My dad's been in the hospital since Tuesday and there's free wifi, so I've been doing lots or researching but not much wrenching

Well...I hummed and hawwed for a while, did other stuff to let my brain juices flow around. Then it was time for action and I just went for it to try my first idea, almost everytime my first thought is the right answer then I dance around the subject trying to prove or disprove it. So I just went ahead and used the aceteleen torch to make my idea a reality. The trick is to not heat it red, but just orange, then just nudge the bend in a couple spots along the lenght you want to change then reheat and continue bending a bit at a time. Got it to what I wanted and I may go back to the collection/treasure pile to see if I have two more brake springs I can modify. Lol
Depends how it works out, got it all back together and I think I like having the truck right in front of me! Just makes it hard to follow movies for the constant distraction.

Oh I rarely give up...just press pause every now and then....ok often! Lol
This fricken thing is mesmerizing right in front of me!!!
I too press pause often, both axles on my rig have been off for at least a week because I told myself I’m waiting on bearings I haven’t ordered yet. Damn pause button, it might be broken.

Been running 7500 rpm clutch since day one on taylor 50.Ordered from taylor and they installed .Saw Thunder Rc running in his collector digger,he said Mr Taylor claimed less strain on drivetrain.Beautiful truck.almost want to ditch grave digger setup ........
Igot a spark plug tester at harbor frieght and used it to replace primal one.Cut to length, glued and screwed, fit perfect on nkg plug witn the thread on piece,if I remember primal pug wire is designed for threads.Seen both styles depending on application.Tester was like 4 bucks....

Well I may be reluctant to spend money on mods but these where necessary! Lol
Put a 7.6 lihv receiver battery, front nudge bar and most obvious the big tires! Saw a video of one riding on top of deep powdered snow so I just had to do it as it's one of my favorite things to do with all my trucks that can. Then the surprising things...nudge bar flat pieces are painted! And after dying twice in the truck and taking only 1100mah then 900mah charge I put the original receiver battery on charge and 4400mah went in this time??? Oh well I have no confidence in it but may hang onto until it's dead. Also my previous attempts of spray can painting my 2 sets of vekta rims with chrome that came off super easy...I went back to humbrol model paint and did it by hand with a brush! Foams of these tires are really crammed in there and just a rectangle rolled in so I decided to not fight them to get off as putting them back would most likely be much harder. First time I painted by hand with humbrol was for my 1/10 gravedigger smt-10 and came out great.. these ones...just need to stand back and they look ok.

So the big tire swap had another side affect, the mud truck tires let you drive like a crazy, so after learning the rolling and handle characteristics of them it didn't go so well when I started beating on it with new monster tires. Even though they are much wider I managed to side roll the truck...twice. and as it side rolls the front wheel hooked into the ground yanking hard on the servos. This ended up making the 4 bolt clamp on one servo slip and have the two servos fight each other. Of course it was after one servo lost and started grinding its gears that I realized what happened. Ended up getting the afg 100kg from Taylor for the best price. After the exchange it was the best I could do and even ali express couldn't come close, besides it takes 4-6 weeks from China, compared to 5 days from Taylor, so that was a factor as well and my cart full to my credit card limit so it was perfect timing.
Got the servos on then slimmed down the diameter of the horn screw and drilled the arms for them to go threw. Took everything apart to check for other damage or wear. Then I put loctite on the face of the blocks that the servo horns go onto and all the bolts.
Those servos are not just 100kg but race car fast! Not to mention whisper quiet. And just looking at them is like rc porn knowing there reputation for durability. Next thing I need is the transfer arms in between the short and long tie rods. There's just I tiny amount of slop up and down but if you pull the front of tires together then push they twist from the force of one on top one under making lots of play side to side. I know it's not a racer but I'm sure a tight steering linkage would help out.

I love agfrc! That looks good. Hoping to run mine tomorrow. I have a couple 78 agfrc’s to install.
