Hi Guys, as some of you may know if you've read any of my threads or replies, I mostly post my opinions or suggestions as a racer, with that in mind i have a question.
If you hpi & co Baja type car owners or moster truck owners had your own class at a race series would you bother giving it a go?
It would give to the chance to see what your cars will do under controlled race conditions with oportunity to tweek you cars for the best results not only for racing but bashing too.
There would be very few rules other than safety issues (no exposed carbon fibre or fibreglass, metal bumpers, must have a functional brake) and noise issues and the rest would be up to you.

Your thoughts please.

(and please think through what you post rather than "not fookin racin it's 5hite")

i would love a go at proper racing i think my car would do ok its set up well and would be quick enough to be raced if only i could get the tyres to stay on its rims long enough to finish a race

hi,

i would give it a go, i would be good to see all types of buggy's racing, rather than thrashing up and down a field a bit of competition would make it a bit more interesting and organised ,as long as its not too serious and doesn't have too many rules ........................Phil

Like I say, the rules (if it were to go ahead) would be decided by the drivers.

How often do you race Mike? I assume not every weekend so what do you do in between races - obviously you will have testing to do to make sure everything is top notch for your racing so do you get out to a local track? Would you not fancy a 2nd car for bashing & just getting out between races to relax with?

In the past I used to race largesclae on road and off road so that was 16 full weekends plus international meetings so tbh there wasn't much time but in the off season I race 12th stock cars. On a normal race weekend you'd have free practice on saturday and the heats & finals on the sunday so there would be plenty of time to find the set up and tyres that work. Aside from the racing there is a big party most saturday nights (tbh most get there tea time friday and start partying then lol).
I'm not the slightest bit into bashing, I've tried it when I first started with largescale but if I'm 100% honest, it bored the 5hite out of me.

i don't find racing boring i just would'nt want it to take over and become to serious where bashings great fun with a couple of ya and if things break then youve lost nothing in racing you can lose it all

I like bashing on my own  well thats because i don't have friends

I wish i had a car... a real one i mean, so i can your drive up and meet you crazy
fookiers

i bash mainly with wagon i don't mind bashing with more people but you end up having to watch what every body else is doing and soon becomes a free for all cars going everyway posible thats when crashes happen as for you wanting a real car yes its handy but the costs involved are a pain in the arse ive got a mk1 golf gti cabrio the insurance isnt to bad as its now classed as a classic i pay £250 a year for that but this month ive got to pay for road tax mot and the insurance great no upgrades for the bug for a while

there theiving basterds that £250 is for limited miles 4500 per year but it comes with break down cover and its fully comp and covered for £2000/£3000

How could you find bashing boring!!!

only joking..... i find racing boring ish

Bashing isn't for me but having read what some say on here and elsewhere I can see why they enjoy it. Have you ever been to a BRCA largescale race meeting?
